Anna Wrigley

SUDC

Anna studied Addiction Counseling at Salt Lake Community College, where she earned an associate’s degree. Her approach to addiction counseling is best described by a quote from Dr. Gabor Maté: “Don’t ask why the addiction, ask why the pain.” Her passion lies in helping individuals not only achieve sobriety but also rediscover meaning, self-compassion, and purpose in recovery.

Anna believes that every person’s path to recovery is deeply personal; one size does not fit all when it comes to healing. She takes a person-centered and strengths-based approach, tailoring treatment to the unique needs, goals, and values of everyone she works with. Her work focuses on empowering clients to recognize their resilience, deepen self-awareness, and build the coping skills necessary to sustain long-term recovery.

Anna strives to create a safe, nonjudgmental, and compassionate space where clients feel seen and accepted as they are. Using motivational interviewing and evidence-based practices, she helps individuals explore their motivations, uncover underlying pain, and develop the tools to move toward lasting change.

In her free time, Anna enjoys creative and self-expressive activities. She loves making jewelry, antique hunting, thrifting, immersing herself in alternative music and fashion, and spending time with her cats. She values creativity, individuality, and authenticity.
