At The Phoenix Recovery Center (TPRC), we're proud to provide high-quality addiction treatment and mental health services for adult patients who need a comprehensive continuum of care, including 24/7 residential treatment, day treatment, evening intensive outpatient, and outpatient services.
WHY REFER TO THE PHOENIX
TPRC is accredited by The Joint Commission, was ranked 5th in “America’s Best Addiction Treatment Centers 2025 – Utah” by Newsweek, and is run by our CEO, Emily Shoff, who was named a 2026 Salt Lake City Titan 100 winner for exceptional leadership, passion, and vision.
We provided care that covers the whole person, not just their disorder.
Purpose-Driven Recovery
Our purpose-driven recovery philosophy emphasizes not only evidence-based treatment but also the cultivation of personal meaning and purpose in recovery, aiming for long-term success beyond symptom management.
Trauma-Informed Therapies
We provide trauma-informed care with EMDR, somatic, and attachment-based therapies that get to the root of present day maladaptive behaviors and/or substance use.
Complex, Co-Occuring Cases
We specialize in treating co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders. We’ve treated patients with complex conditions such as borderline personality disorder, schizophrenia, PTSD, and more with integrated care plans that target the entirety of their substance use, mental health symptoms, and behavioral health issues.
A Full Continuum of Care
TPRC offers a full continuum of care that starts with our Residential Treatment program, Daytime Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), or evening Intensive Outpatient (IOP) program.
Care That Continues After Discharge
Our outcomes-driven programming doesn’t end when residents return home. TPRC therapists can continue general outpatient care 2 days a week for as long as is necessary for sustained recovery and sobriety. Program alumni are encouraged to weekly CODA meetings for continued support as their need for care decreases and their ability for independent sober living increases.
REFERRAL NETWORK
Our 44-bed facility receives professional referrals from doctors, hospitals, psychiatrists, psychologists, professional interventionists, and legal professionals from Utah's Wasatch Front, including Salt Lake City, Provo, Orem, Ogden, and South Jordan, as well as other areas of Utah and even the U.S.

If needed, our full-time, on-site Medical Directory or contracted psychiatrist will assist in managing medication and facilitating Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT). This evidence-based approach combines FDA-approved medications (such as buprenorphine, methadone, or naltrexone) with therapy to help stabilize brain chemistry, ease severe withdrawal symptoms, and block cravings so you can focus on the mental and emotional side of recovery.
